Estacao Paissandu

Rio will loose after this weekend one of their street movie theaters. After years of resistence, Cine Paissandu will have their doors shutted next sunday, august 31st, and no one knows till now what will happen. The cult art distribution group Estação tried to find partners to make it into two rooms and keep it opened, but didnt work.
The most important time from Cine Paissandu was in the 60s, while all the intelectual youth of Rio gathered to see all the Truffaut, Godard, Resnais, Glauber Rocha, Nelson Pereira dos Santos, and after fight the military dictatorship.
So to celebrate all this gold era, from friday until sunday (august 29th to 31st), the theater will be open showing all these movies that were important to them, and the sessions will cost only R$ 1 (yes, one real). The list wasnt released yet, but as soon as I know, I will post here. I will try to see some classics there.
